Dr. Jim Honigford- Practice Owner

Jim is a 1990 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he also earned a B.S. in Animal Science. Jim played basketball at Ohio State from 1983 to1986. He joined the veterinary team at the Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic in 1990. He and his wife, Celeste have four children together, Lauren, Paul, Clay, and Joel. Jim enjoys gardening, boating and spending time with his wife and children and 2 dogs, Boone and Brinley.

Dr. Shane Donley- Practice Owner

Shane graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, and began working at the Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic shortly afterward. He currently resides in Fresno with his wife Carrie and their children. He enjoys spending time with immediate family and church family at Country Side Chapel. Other interests are outdoor activities.

Dr. Brandon Michels- Practice Owner

Brandon was born and raised in Uhrichsville, Ohio. He received a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The College of Wooster in 2010 and his DVM from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Dr. Michels practiced veterinary medicine in northern Wayne County, OH for three years before continuing his career at the Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic in 2016. His professional interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Outside of medicine, he enjoys woodworking, scuba diving, and outdoor activities. He and his wife, Elizabeth, were married in 2013 and have three children. They also enjoy spending time with their three dogs.

Dr. Rick Daugherty

Rick is a 1980 and 1983 graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in animal science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He grew up in Wooster, Ohio where his family ran a feed and fertilizer business as well as crop and hog farm. He spent 2 years practicing in Ashtabula County before purchasing the Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic in 1985. Rick is married to wife, Bette, who also acts as the bookkeeper for the clinic. They enjoy spending time with their son, Bill, his wife, Casey, their three grandchildren, Harper, Cole, and Olivia and dog, Willie.

Dr. Aaron Pospisil

Aaron grew up in Centerburg before attending Ohio State for both undergrad and Veterinary School. He joined the SVC team upon graduation in 2017. His professional interests include dairy medicine, especially milk quality and calf care, small animal medicine and equine medicine. He currently lives outside of Dover with his wife, two sons and three cats. In his free time he enjoys photography and hiking Buckeye Trail.

Dr. Colton Harstine

Colton grew up in Winfield, Ohio where he attended Dover High School and graduated in 2012. Following graduation he followed his dreams of becoming of Veterinarian and graduated from The Ohio State University of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. His professional interests include Dairy, Equine, and small animal medicine. Colton currently resides in Winfield with his girlfriend, Rossana, and 2 dogs, Hank and Lely. He enjoys the outdoors, reading, and general farmwork.

Dr. Susan Winter

Susan is a 2020 graduate of Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined SVC at the start of 2021 after working in Kansas after graduation. Her professional interest include ruminant medicine especially small ruminants and advanced reproductive technologies. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her 2 dogs, Sadie and Coco, hiking, kayaking, and baking.

Dr. Anna Powell

Anna grew up in Fresno on a livestock and crop farm. She is a 2021 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She also attended Ohio State for undergrad, receiving a Bachelors in Animal Science in 2017. Her professional interests include cattle reproduction, small ruminant medicine and advanced reproductive techniques. In her spare time her and her husband, Russ, enjoy hiking, camping, and spending time with their dogs, Hank, Brantley, and Kimber.

Amy Zahner- Practice Manager

Amy grew up on her family's dairy farm in Fresno, Ohio. After graduating from Garaway High School, she began working at the SVC in 1991. Later that year, she married her husband Todd. They have two children, Ashton and Kurt, 4 dogs, Libby, Ramsey, Frannie, Franklin, and a Maine Coon cat name Sylvia! She enjoys spending time in her many perennial gardens, cooking, and spending time with friends and family, especially her new grandbaby, Baylor Matthew!

Andrea Schlabach

Andrea has been working here at SVC since 2004. In her spare time she loves to attend truck and tractor pulls with her husband, Tim. She also enjoys working with flowers for special occasions and spending time with her cat Sylvester and 2 dogs, Gus and Gertie. Andrea was also in 4-H for 11 years, and a 4-H advisor since 2004.

Ashley Stutzman

Ashley graduated from Garaway High School in 2009 and started working at the clinic in 2016. She resides in Dover with her husband Clint, son Wesley and 3 dogs, Rocky, Chev, and Kash. In her spare time she loves spending time outside and enjoys time with her family and friends.

Martha Ohler

Martha graduated from Garaway High School in 2011 and started working at the clinic in October 2017. She lives in Midvale with her husband Woodrow, son Nikolas and 3 dogs Martin, Jake, and Penny. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Liz Harmon

Liz graduated from Indian Valley High School in 2004 and started working at the clinic in February of 2020. She lives in New Phila with her husband, Jonathan, and their 4 children, Aiden, Kameron, Cooper and Cadence. In her spare time she enjoys reading, making dog and cat treats, spending time with her family and loving on her dogs, Ralphie, Marty, June, and Stanley and cats, Frannie, Karl, Kevin, and Binx.

Carrie Applegate

Carrie graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1991. Later on she attended and graduated at the Art Institute of Pittsburg where she received her associates of science degree in Photography. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, photography, and spending time with her 3 kids, Cameron, Jordan, and Jocelynne, boyfriend, Jon and 5 furbabies.

Sarah Pershing

Sarah graduated in 2012 from Claymont High School and started working at the clinic in November 2022. She resides in Uhrichsville with her husband, Kevin, 2 daughters, Abby and Paisley and son, Hunter. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her family and 2 dogs, Oreo and Rex.

Tammy Snyder, RVT

Tammy has been on staff at SVC since 2008. She has four children, with a current extended family consisting of two horses, two dogs, and three cats. She graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Kent State Tuscarawas in 2009. She says, "My passion for animals leads me to encourage a more rewarding bond with our animals through education and understanding."

Cassie Maurer, RVT

Cassie graduated high school from Indian Valley in 2010 and graduated from The Vet Tech Institute at Bradford School in Columbus in 2012. She lives with her husband, Garrett and their three dogs, Ollie, Maddie, and Cedric and four cats, Bindi, Little Man, Cu, and Pete. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking and being in the outdoors.

Morgain Little, RVT

Morgain grew up in Meigs County and attended and graduated in 2020 with an Associates degree in Applied Science at Kent State Tuscarawas. She did her practicum at SVC and fell in love with the practice and decided to stay. She now lives in New Phila with her cat, Possum and dog, Nellie. In her spare time she enjoys long walks on the beach with her cat, hiking, kayaking, board games and spending time with family and friends.

Devon Karl, RVT

Devon graduated in 2008 from Ridgewood High School and is a 2012 graduate of Kent State Tuscarawas Veterinary Technology program. She enjoys outdoor activities, showing her rabbits, taking care of her hobby farm, and spending time with her children and family.

Lydia Hostetler, RVT

Lydia graduated from Garaway High School in 2017 and later graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Kent State University in 2020. She currently lives in Sugarcreek with her husband, Hunter and their 3 dogs, Harley, Diesel, and MoJo, cats, Cevin and Phiona, a bird named Fabioux, and 2 beta fish. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and kayaking with her husband and their dogs.

Sienna Quillin, RVT

Sienna graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 2019 and graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Kent State Tusc in 2021. Sienna currently resides in Stonecreek on her family's dairy farm. She has two dogs, Milo and Miguel, and a cat named Maxx. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and sewing.

Karlie Reitmann

Karlie graduated from New Phila High School in 2010. After school she attended Kent State University and graduated in 2019 with an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology and Associate of Science. She is married to her husband, Jeff. In her spare time she enjoys riding her horses and spending time with her dogs. She has also been a 4-H adviser since 2015.

Brittany Kennedy

Brittany is a graduate from The Ohio State University and Kent State University. She has been in the veterinary industry for 5 years now. She lives with her husband, Josh and son Jamie, on the family grain farm where they also raise pigs and cows. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, two dogs, two cats, two horses, and being in the garden.

Tara Jones

Tara grew up in Dundee and graduated from Garaway High School in 2012. She later attended the University of Findlay for Animal Science until 2014 then transferred to Ohio State ATI campus and majored in Beef and Dairy Production Management.

Sawyer Campbell

Sawyer graduated from Ohio State in the summer of 2021 with a degree in Criminology. Since then she has decided to go back to school starting in the fall of 2021 to obtain a second degree as a Veterinary Technician. Sawyer resides in Dover with her family and their two dogs Baker and Bane. Recently she started her own little family with the addition of a Golden Retriever puppy named Rio.

Lexi Newbold

Lexi grew up on her grandparents dairy farm and has shown dairy cattle for the past 9 years. She has had a strong passion for animals since a young age and its been a long time dream of hers to become a vet tech and make a difference in many animals lives.

Shelley Recchiuti- Inventory Manager

Shelley graduated from Indian Valley North and attended Kent State Tusc. She graduated in 2011 and got her Associate degree in applied Science of Veterinary Technology. Shelley has been working for SVC since 2012. She has 3 children, 2 dogs and 3 rabbits. In her spare time she enjoys camping, spending time with her friends and family and crocheting.

Amy McRobie

Amy graduated from Tuscarawas Valley High School in 2018. She went to Tusc State Tusc for a year pursuing a business degree but decided to change her mind in the fall of 2020 and work with animals which has always been her dream. She is currently enrolled in the Vet Tech program at Kent Tusc. She started working at SVC as a kennel assistant in February of 2020. As of right now she lives with her parents, 4 cats, and 2 dogs. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at the Tusc County Humane Society.

Reilly Walsh

Reilly graduated from Muskingum University in 2019 with a Bachelors in Animal Studies. She is originally from Northwestern Pennsylvania but currently lives in Louisville with her boyfriend . In her spare time she enjoys hiking, running, kayaking, and exploring new places.

Mady Robbins

Mady graduated New Philadelphia High School in 2020. She resides in New Phila with her boyfriend and two cats, Trash Bag and Kimble. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends and a good nap!

Charlotte

Charlotte is our clinic kitty. She enjoys helping out in the lab, getting into staff members lockers and causing panic while hiding and being stubborn. She is also very good at making us all smile when we are having a rough day.
