Practice Owner / Medical Director

Dr. Brandon Michels

Brandon was born and raised in Uhrichsville, Ohio. He received a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The College of Wooster in 2010 and his DVM from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Dr. Michels practiced veterinary medicine in northern Wayne County, OH for three years before continuing his career at the Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic in 2016. His professional interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Outside of medicine, he enjoys woodworking, scuba diving, and outdoor activities. He and his wife, Elizabeth, were married in 2013 and have three children. They also enjoy spending time with their three dogs.

Dr. Shane Donley

Shane graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, and began working at the Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic shortly afterward. He currently resides in Fresno with his wife Carrie and their children. He enjoys spending time with immediate family and church family at Country Side Chapel. Other interests are outdoor activities.

Dr. Jim Honigford

Jim is a 1990 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he also earned a B.S. in Animal Science. Jim played basketball at Ohio State from 1983 to1986. He joined the veterinary team at the Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic in 1990. He and his wife, Celeste have four children together, Lauren, Paul, Clay, and Joel. Jim enjoys gardening, boating and spending time with his wife and children and 2 dogs, Boone and Brinley.

Dr. Aaron Pospisil

Aaron grew up in Centerburg before attending Ohio State for both undergrad and Veterinary School. He joined the SVC team upon graduation in 2017. His professional interests include dairy medicine, especially milk quality and calf care, small animal medicine and equine medicine. He currently lives outside of Dover with his wife, two sons and three cats. In his free time he enjoys photography and hiking Buckeye Trail.

Dr. Colton Harstine

Colton grew up in Winfield, Ohio where he attended Dover High School and graduated in 2012. Following graduation he followed his dreams of becoming of Veterinarian and graduated from The Ohio State University of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. His professional interests include Dairy, Equine, and small animal medicine. Colton currently resides in Winfield with his wife, Rossana, and 2 dogs, Hank and Lely. He enjoys the outdoors, reading, and general farmwork.

Dr. Anna Powell

Anna grew up in Fresno on a livestock and crop farm. She is a 2021 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She also attended Ohio State for undergrad, receiving a Bachelors in Animal Science in 2017. Her professional interests include cattle reproduction, small ruminant medicine and advanced reproductive techniques. In her spare time her and her husband, Russ, enjoy hiking, camping, and spending time with their dogs, Hank, Brantley, and Kimber.

Dr. Hunter Meese

Hunter grew up in Dennison, Ohio. He went to Ohio State and graduated with his bachelors of Science in Agriculture in 2019. Then went to Veterinary School graduating in 2023. Hunter now lives in Coshocton with his wife and two deaf dogs; Oden and Opal. His professional interest include ruminant and equine medicine. In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing , video games, and playing fetch with his dogs.

Leah grew up in Carey, Ohio. She is a 2023 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after graduating from the University of Findlay with a degree in animal science. Her professional interests are small ruminant medicine, small animal internal medicine and small animal surgery. Although, she enjoys a little bit of everything. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, baking, cooking, reading and trying out new restaurants. She also loves spending time with family, friends and her dog; Apollo and Odin and her cats; Stanley, Gracie and Gomez.

Megan grew up in Sugarcreek, Ohio and graduated for Hiland High School. She then attend the University of Findlay where she received her Undergrad. Then attended and graduated Vet school at The Ohio State University. Her Professional interests include soft tissue surgery, wound measurement, and herd health. In her free time she likes reading, video games, going out to eat and spending time with family.

Dr. Mackenzie Holmes

Mackenzie grew up in Sebring, Florida. Where she attended The University of Florida for her undergrad degree in Animal Science, She then went to The University of Missouri College Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2023. Mackenzie's professional interests are vast- she wants to get into a little bit of everything! So far, she has loved developing her skills in ruminant medicine and reproduction, and small animal ultrasonography and dentistry. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, exploring her new home, and playing video games, along with spending time with her two kittens; Oliver and Ophelia.

Dr. Kaci Way

Kaci grew up in West Salem, Ohio on her family's 50-sow showing operation. She was very competitive in 4-H, FFA, and NJSA, showing swine around the Nation. She attend the Ohio State University for her Bachelors degree in Animal Sciences and stayed at Ohio State for Vet School. She was also a member of the General Livestock Judging Team during Undergrad. Her Professional interests include swine medicine, surgery of all species and also enjoys equine lameness. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Mitch and their 5 pets. Also loves helping her niece, nephews and show clients with their projects.

Shelley graduated from Indian Valley North and attended Kent State Tusc. She graduated in 2011 and got her Associate degree in applied Science of Veterinary Technology. Shelley has been working for SVC since 2012. She has 3 children, 2 dogs and 3 rabbits. In her spare time she enjoys camping, spending time with her friends and family and crocheting.

Ashley graduated from Garaway High School in 2009 and started working at the clinic in 2016. She resides in Dover with her husband Clint, son Wesley and 3 dogs, Rocky, Chev, and Kash. In her spare time she loves spending time outside and enjoys time with her family and friends.

Kelsey grew up on a dairy farm "Swihart Farms" in Ragersville. She was a 4-H member for 8 years while showing dairy cows and hogs. She graduated from Hiland High School in 2021 then continued her academic and athletic career at Malone University. Kelsey lives with her fiancé Ryan, daughter Emmerson and their dog skeeter. In her spare time she likes playing basketball, hunting, fishing, riding, and spending time with family and friends.

She was also a 4-H member at Tuscarawas County Fair for 10 years. She lives in Fresno with her fiancé Brandon and their 2 dogs; Willow and Mattie and 3 cats; Vega, Biscuit and Dolly. Baylee is from Guernsey County and was homeschooled and graduated in 2016. She was in 4-H for 13 years, participating in equine projects. She worked as a vet assistant right out of High School and a kennel tech. Furthermore, she went back to school in 2019 to get her Dental Certificate and Radiology License. Then chose a different path and started working here at SVC! She has 3 cats; Icky Picky, Margo, and Xena. She lives with her Fiancé in Magnolia.

Andrea has been working here at SVC since 2004. In her spare time she loves to attend truck and tractor pulls with her husband, Tim. She also enjoys working with flowers for special occasions and spending time with her cat Sylvester and 2 dogs, Gus and Gertie. Andrea was also in 4-H for 11 years, and a 4-H advisor since 2004.

Tammy has been on staff at SVC since 2008. She has four children, with a current extended family consisting of two horses, two dogs, and three cats. She graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Kent State Tuscarawas in 2009. She says, "My passion for animals leads me to encourage a more rewarding bond with our animals through education and understanding."

Cassie graduated high school from Indian Valley in 2010 and graduated from The Vet Tech Institute at Bradford School in Columbus in 2012. She lives with her husband, Garrett and their four dogs, Ollie, Maddie, Cedric, and Forrest and five cats, Bindi, Little Man, Cu, Pete, and Weez. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Morgain grew up in Meigs County and attended and graduated in 2020 with an Associates degree in Applied Science at Kent State Tuscarawas. She did her practicum at SVC and fell in love with the practice and decided to stay. She now lives in New Phila with her cat, Possum and dog, Nellie. In her spare time she enjoys long walks on the beach with her cat, hiking, kayaking, board games and spending time with family and friends.

Lydia graduated from Garaway High School in 2017 and later graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Kent State University in 2020. She currently lives in Sugarcreek with her husband, Hunter and their 3 dogs, Harley, Diesel, and MoJo, cats, Cevin and Phiona, a bird named Fabioux, and 2 beta fish. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and kayaking with her husband and their dogs.

Grace graduated from Garaway High School in 2011 and graduated from Kent State Tuscarawas with a degree in Veterinary Technology in 2014. She has been in Veterinary medicine since 2011 working from the Kennel Tech to Veterinary Assistant to Registered Veterinary Technician. She lives with her husband, Eric and their 2 daughters. She often jokes her house is a menagerie of animals and her current crew includes; 2 dogs, 2 cats, 5 chickens, 7 rabbits. Grace is our weekend technician, as her full time job is being a stay at home mom. In her free time she likes spending time with family and hobbies include; gardening, fishing, target practice, and also running a bookstagram page and recently published her first children's book. She also enjoys being active in her church.

After graduating she attended Kent State Tusc for Veterinary Technology and graduated with a associates degree in Veterinary Technology. She has now been in the Vet field as a Technician for 7 years. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and her boyfriend, Justin and his daughter Marlee, gardening, and spending time outside. She loves spending time with her 3 dogs; Jax, Nova and Blu and two cats; Ralphie and Molly.

She is married to her husband, Jeff. In her spare time she enjoys riding her horses and spending time with her dogs. She has also been a 4-H adviser since 2015.

She lives with her husband, Josh and son Jamie, on the family grain farm where they also raise pigs and cows. Emma Stefanick

Emma graduated from Perry High School in 2019. She earned an Associates Degree from Stark State College and pursued her undergraduate degrees in Journalism and Biology at Ohio University graduating in 2023. She joined SVC as a Veterinary Assistant in 2024 and is currently applying to DVM Programs across the Country. Emma hopes to work with all animals, including small companion pets, large animals and exotics. she has a total of 5 pets; an Asian banded bullfrog named walnut, a New Zealand rabbit named Winslow and three cats; Pickles, Simba, and Cheese Puff. She also resides with her Great Grandma bird, Harry the finch.

Amy McRobie

Amy graduated from Tuscarawas Valley High School in 2018. She went to Tusc State Tusc for a year pursuing a business degree but decided to change her mind in the fall of 2020 and work with animals which has always been her dream. She is currently enrolled in the Vet Tech program at Kent Tusc. She started working at SVC as a kennel assistant in February of 2020. As of right now she lives with her parents, 4 cats, and 2 dogs. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at the Tusc County Humane Society.

Abby graduated from River View High School in 2023 and is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technology Program at Kent State Tuscarawas. She grew up in Fresno, on a Livestock farm. She was a 4-H member for 13 years, where she showed beef cattle, horses, sheep, and hogs. In her free time she enjoys trail riding on her horse Twister and helping on the family farm.

Charlotte

Charlotte is our clinic kitty. She enjoys helping out in the lab, getting into staff members lockers and causing panic while hiding and being stubborn. She is also very good at making us all smile when we are having a rough day.
