Our Services

Wellness Care – We seek to help our patients live long and healthy lives. Prevention of disease is of the utmost importance, since many easily preventable diseases can have a significant impact on our pets. Owner education is equally important to us, and your questions regarding nutrition or diet, new pet care, house training, and behavior are always welcome. To ensure your pet remains healthy for years to come, we offer annual vaccines, heartworm testing, physical exams, and routine fecal exams. We also carry prevention for heartworms, fleas, and ticks.

Dentistry – Dental disease can have a profound effect on our pets’ health. Tooth decay may cause issues including halitosis, tooth abscesses, enlarged lymph nodes, sore and tender gums, and even heart disease. Routine dental cleanings can help prevent numerous medical conditions, and leave your pet with a clean, healthy mouth.

Diagnostics – At SVC, we strive to provide your pets with the best healthcare experience possible. Our top-of-the-line diagnostic tools help us to thoroughly diagnose and treat your pet. A variety of IDEXX machines allow us to run in-house bloodwork, allowing us to view results within minutes. We also have the latest in digital and dental x-ray technology, along with an ultrasound machine. Fecal and urinalysis testing is also available.

Surgery – Our doctors are highly skilled in a wide variety of basic and advanced surgical procedures performed daily at SVC. Our soft tissue procedures range from routine spay and neuter to the more advanced foreign body removal and everything in-between. Our orthopedic procedures include basic and advanced fracture repair, luxating patellar correction, lateral suture and the tibial-plateau-leveling-osteotomy (TPLO) for cruciate ligament rupture repair. The TPLO procedure is considered the Gold Standard method for surgical correction of cruciate ligament disease by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Sugarcreek Veterinary Clinic is the only veterinary clinic in the area that has acquired the training to perform this advanced surgical procedure.

Emergency and Critical Care – We are available 24 hours a day to provide medical and surgical care for those unexpected events. If emergency care is needed after hours, please call our regular office number. You will be directed to our after-hours voicemail where you will leave a detailed message. Our on-call veterinarian will contact you to determine the best course of action. Please understand our on-call veterinarians can be assisting other emergencies at the time of your call. They will contact you as soon as they become available.
